Join us for our first skate night of the year on Tuesday, October 16th, from 6:00-8:00PM at Lynnwood Skate And Bowl (6210 200th St SW, Lynnwood, 425-778-3133). Admission is $7 per person; quad and in-line skate rentals are available for an additional $3.25. Click HERE for a map!

The District’s Health Curriculum Night is Tuesday, October 16th, from 6:30-7:30PM, in the Shoreline Room of the Shoreline Center. This is an opportunity for students, parents, and guardians to be introduced to the sexual health curriculum prior to classroom instruction, ask questions about it, and discuss modification/opt-out options, if necessary. Click HERE for more information on the curriculum. Click HERE for a map to the Shoreline Center.

Fall Carnival Volunteers: Calling all volunteers! We need lots of help make the Fall Carnival great. The event is on Friday, October 26, from 6-8 pm. It’s a ton of fun, and we break up your time in “shifts” so you can spend time with your kids at the event. Jobs include working a carnival game, the raffle table, craft table, face painting, set-up and clean-up. Click HERE to sign up on-line, or e-mail Julie Reinhardt at julie@shesmoke.com. Thank you!!!

Fall Carnival Cake Walk! Another way to help with this event is to bring a dessert for the Cake Walk. Smaller or portioned desserts are great, but all are appreciated! Desserts can be delivered to the cafeteria stage between 4-6PM.

The MPPTSA Annual Campaign kicks off this week. We are raising money to support our students, teachers, and staff through grants, scholarships, special events, art curriculum, and much more. Click HERE to watch a video about how much we love the MPPTSA! Look for green envelopes in your student’s take-home folder to submit a check or cash payment, or click HERE to donate online. Any amount is appreciated!

Have you been turning in your Box Tops for Education?  Last year, the Box Tops turned in by MP families earned our school over $600!   Many certificates expire November 1st, so please check the top of your packaged foods and household products to see if they have a 10-cent pink & white “Box Tops for Education” certificate. If they do, cut out the certificates, and turn them in to the “Box Tops for Education” box in MP’s main lobby!   A list of products commonly having certificates can be found HERE .  A big shout out to Avery, Campbell, Daston, Hudson, Kevin, Oliver, Ruby, Thomas, Wyatt and all of the other amazing MP Cheetahs who have been turning in their Box Tops!  Thank you!

From the Office:  We are grateful for the time to share about our students last week.  And thanks Laura and PTA friends for the wonderful staff lunch on Thursday.  Thank you also very much for your support of our walk-a-thon ASB fundraiser. This week we get back on regular schedule; and Thursday we will participate in the state earthquake drill.  Please be sure to complete the district survey; and we will see you soon.  MP Admin and Staff
