PTSA Membership goes a long way in:

Funding Great Things at our school: MPPTSA provides money to help support programs, materials, and events for our school.  Read the monthly MPPTSA newsletter on our website or in Parent Square to see the fun events, supplies, and materials we provide, and all of what our PTSA funds at Meridian Park throughout the year.  Including grants for our teachers to enhance learning in their classroom!

Build Community at MP:  MPPTSA funds school events and materials at Meridian Park, including Back To School event, Winter Ball, Read-A-Thon contest and prizes, yearbook, Multicultural Celebration week, before & after school clubs, enrichments (the salmon eggs, decodable library grant, and more…).  Cool option: If you are interested to find our more how you can help out, you can sign up for big or little volunteer opportunities!  When parents and families are involved in education, student academic performance improves.

Great discounts!  Every PTA member is eligible for discounts to Great Wolf Lodge, car rentals, FedEx, Seattle Symphony, and many others.  Visit WSPTA’s website to see them all!

Advocate for kids and families: local, statewide, and national advocacy for children and families. Whether in Washington DC, Olympia, or in our own city government offices—everywhere decisions are made that affect your children, PTA is there speaking on behalf of your children. PTA allows you to speak for the interest of your children when you cannot be there yourself. This has always been and will always be a central focus of PTA.  In 1937, PTA was advocating for child labor laws. Today the issues are equally important for our children—internet safety, youth violence, levy/bond election, education reform, school class size and many more. Click here for more information at Washington State PTA (WSPTA) website

When you sign-up for PTA Membership, you help fund MPPTSA programs and activities during the school year.
