Teacher Appreciation — Our first event is a potluck lunch on Thursday, October 11th.  This is an early release day and our menu is COMFORT FOOD.  If you’d like to cook, bake, buy, or help with that event, please sign up HERE.

Has your student’s coat, lunch box, or other personal item gone missing? Conference time is perfect for checking the Lost and Found, located before the cafeteria on the right. It will be cleared out at the end of the month, so please check for your items soon. Also, please remember to write your names in all belongings. Coats will be returned, if we know who they belong to.

FLASH Art Docent Fundraiser! A very generous MP teacher who believes in the importance of art education for elementary students has donated $250 to the art docent program. Wow! As a community, let’s match her generous donation this week and further develop art education at our school. To donate, visit PT Avenue and choose an amount under “Art Docent Contribution.” Every little bit helps!

The Shoreline Special Needs PTSA is fundraising for their ’18-’19 classroom grants program. You can share this campaign with friends and families, or contribute yourself HERE!

District Survey:  Please watch your email for an all-district survey to be sent out soon.  You can also complete the survey when you attend conferences.  We hope you will participate!

From the Office:  We are looking forward to seeing you this week for conferences. We also want to acknowledge this difficult district schedule for families and thank you for flexibility and planning. Thank you also for supporting our walk-a-thon student fundraiser; all donations support class field trips or other special activities. Congratulations to all the student council candidates for outstanding speeches and leadership. This month we are re-learning and practicing responsibility.  On October 18, we will participate in the state earthquake practice drill at 10:30 am. Finally – be sure to take the district survey when you get the link by email this week; or if you prefer, complete before/after your conference at a laptop in our foyers.  See you soon.  MP Admin and Staff
