The Art Docent Program exists to help supplement art education along with what teachers are able to do in the classroom. There is no official art curriculum at MP, so this is a way to engage and inspire kids about the arts, as well as help give them tools for their own self-expression.
The Art Docent Program is a PTSA-sponsored, parent-volunteer-led art enrichment program for all MP students.
We aim to bring 4 interactive art lessons to each class at Meridian Park every year.The program Co-Chairs organize and train volunteers on each lesson prior to classroom rollout.
As a parent volunteer, you can expect a high reward with a relatively small time investment. It’s a fun way to be involved in your kiddo’s class and for them to get to see you during the school day!
