SNOW MAKE UP DAYS
Due to snow closures, May 15th and June 12th which were originally set as non student days have been converted to regular school days. Please make note on your calendars.

The Shoreline HiCap Advocacy Group will be holding its regular meeting onThursday, 3/9/17, from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.at Ridgecrest Elementary (16516-10th Ave. NE, Shoreline). Support the 6th Grade Camp Donation Effort!
~To bring the cost of camp down for all, raising funds for your 6th grade community~
Our goal is to bring the overall cost down for all campers from $175 to $150, by raising $2,500 by March 10.
1. Go to Shoreline School District Website.
2. Click on “On-Line Payments”
3. Enter your skyward user id and password
4. Click on your Meridian Park student
5. Click on Items at student’s school
6. Click on donations
7. Enter your donation at “Donations to Help Defray the Cost of Camp”

Checks are also accepted, made out to “Meridian Park Elementary” with a note of “Camp Donation Fund”. Questions? Email mpptsa6thgrade@gmail.com.

Immigration Information Forum for Spanish-speakers

· Updates on immigration policies
· Q&A with immigration lawyers
· Resources for immigrants
· Open to the public, presented in Spanish

WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY
Literacy Source is hosting a Know Your Rights workshop for immigrants and refugees (in English and Spanish) onTuesday, March 7th at 6:00pm at our Learning Center in Lake City (3200 NE 125th Street). All are welcome. We will also have a number of immigration attorneys available for short, FREE consultations between 6:00-8:00pm – pre-registration for the consultations is required. Please help spread the word about this event!

To sign up for an appointment with an attorney – please call Literacy Source at 206.782.2050. Please note:

· Consultations are short and limited – 15-20 minutes at most, to answer basic questions or
provide referrals
· Come with a question to best use the short amount of time
· Bring immigration documents with you
· Bring an interpreter if you don’t want to communicate in English
