MP Read-a-Thon
The 2017 PTSA Read-a-Thon (R-a-T) is ending on March 19th! ALL READING COUNTS, and it’s not too late to participate. Students can earn prizes for reading just 500 minutes or collecting $20 in pledges to benefit the Meridian Park PTSA. So pick up a book, keep up with the reading, and reach out to family, friends and employers for their support. Prizes this year include credit to spend at the April Book Fair (April 13-15), t-shirts (contest submissions to be displayed soon!), bookmarks, a pizza party, and other gift certificates. Make sure to turn in all reading logs and pledges by Friday, March 24th to qualify for prizes. Please feel free to contact Elizabeth Swan at eswan27@gmail.com with any questions or concerns. Read On!
Volunteers Needed: Meridian Park is scheduled to volunteer at “The Works” organizing clothing for the store. We need a minimum of 4 volunteers for Wednesday, March 15th 6:30-8:30pm. This is a great opportunity to see how The Shoreline PTA Council provides this great service to our Shoreline families. If you can volunteer, please email Susan Duthweiler at sduthweiler@gmail.com or Mary Kate Horwood at marykatea@gmail.com. MP is also scheduled to help on Wednesday, May 10th if you can’t make the March date.

The Meridian Park Yearbook Club needs more photos! Please send any event, club, and classroom photos you have to Molly at molly.nordstrand@gmail.com and please let her know what the photos are from. The more photos we have to choose from, the better this year’s yearbook will be!
Spring Spanish Club Registration
Registration is now open for spring quarter Spanish club for K-6!

$240 first child, $230 siblings

Final MP Skate night for the year is Thursday, 3/30/17 at Lynnwood Bowl & Skate. Admission $6.50 plus tax (includes quad skate rental) Inline upgrade $3.25. Parents are asked to stay and encouraged to participate. No drop-off’s allowed!
Family Picture Project
Please join us in celebrating and honoring all of the families at Meridian Park. The PTSA and Meridian Park staff would like to invite all families to participate in our Family Picture Project. The goal is to fill our front foyer with pictures of our families. We are asking you to:
• Send a printed family photo with your child to school (one you might not get back) and
write your name on the back, OR
• Email a photo to: mpptsapresident@gmail.com
We hope to have all family photos ready for display by Friday, March 24th.
