THIS WEEK AT Meridian Park

Tuesday, November 15 – Picture Retakes
Friday, November 18 – 6:30pm Family Movie Night. Free – PTSA is showing
Bolt in the cafeteria. Bring your lawn chair, pillow, picnic dinner, and
anything else that sounds good. Adult supervision of children is required.
Minimum one adult per 6 kids – you can bring your children with their
friends or schedule with another parent to bring yours. Please, remember
you are responsible for the behavior of the children that you bring. We
will have concessions for sale, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Tuesday, November 22 – Highly Capable Program Information Night at the
Shoreline Conference Center from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. **Correction to

Tuesday, November 22 – Family Internet/Social Media Awareness Event,
Einstein Middle School at 7:00 pm, see below for details.

Monday, November 28 – Shoreline Hi Cap Advocacy Group Planning Session at
the Shoreline Library (large meeting room) from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. All Hi Cap

PTSA Fall Fundraiser Drive the Cheetah!- Thank you Meridian Park Families!
We are just over $2500…1/4 of the way to our $10K goal! Let’s get the all
the way! If you have not donated yet please consider a donation that will
work for your family. If every student donated $16 we would meet our goal!
Two weeks left in our campaign…look for the purple flyer and yellow

Syre PTA’s Family Engagement Committee would like to invite the adults in
your communities to an upcoming event hosted at Einstein Middle School. The
event is open to parents/guardians of students feeding into the Einstein
community. Please let your families know of this great speaker. Please note

Topic: Family Internet/Social Media Awareness
Date: Tuesday, November 22 @ 7:00 PM
Where: Einstein Middle School Cafeteria

Officer Thomas’ dynamic and informative presentation will cover
cyber-bullying, online relationships, social networking, online posting, and
internet safety tips. We hope to facilitate conversations between students
and families, working to nurture a culture of kindness and safety as our
kids navigate the realities of the online world. We hope to have a packed
house! Our kids are growing up in a digital world that is still new to a
lot of us. The more we know about their realities, the more we can help
them safely navigate! This event is open to all of the elementary schools
feeding into Einstein Middle School! Tell a friend!

PTSA Fall Fundraiser update!
Our Drive the Cheetah fall fundraising campaign is off to a great start…$1200 raised so far! We are on our way to our $10K goal. Every dollar donated goes directly to programs for our Meridian Park students and families (like the Fall Culture Festival last week!). Look for the purple flyer that was sent home with a yellow envelope attached. Thank you MP families for generously helping our students.

Veterans Day Assembly

Wednesday November 9, from 2:30 – 3:05 p.m.

Meridian Park Cafeteria

Veterans are invited to attend as our honored guests. Students are encouraged to invite Veterans. Students may also bring pictures of Veteran family members and friends who are unable to attend.

From The Principal

This month we are learning and practicing ‘gratitude.’ Please talk about at home. Thank you for keeping things moving in the parking lot and also for on-time pick-up at 3:30. We invite all veterans to our Veterans Day Assembly Wednesday at 2:30. As we make a time change, let’s do a routine check for mornings and afternoons. Look forward to seeing you soon and we hope everyone will keep exercising outside this winter.

Monday, October 31 – Non Student Day
Tuesday, November 1 – PTA Meeting and Special Presentation on Bullying – MP Families: Everyone invited to PTA Tuesday at 7 pm. At 7:45 there will be a special presentation around bullying: Is it Rude, Mean, or Bullying? Presented by school counselors Katie McCain and Ryan Ferguson (CK8), we will discuss the differences between these behaviors and how you can help support your children at home through social difficulties. Childcare is provided! We hope you will join us at 7 pm for the meeting and/or 7:45 pm for the parent workshop! Go Cheetahs!

Drop Off Lane – No Parking Please
Just like the airport, the drop off lane curb lane is for drop-off only, please – no parking. Help keep things moving by staying with the car when you drop at the curb lane. To walk your child to the door, please park in the lot. We appreciate your cooperation!
