The first round of open enrollment for kindergarten registration for 2019-2020 has been extended to March 7th due to the inclement weather and snow closures.

Get Ready to Read! This year’s Read-a-Thon (RaT) begins on Monday and ends on March 24th. All reading counts, so encourage your student(s) to read to each other, read aloud to you, or curl up with a book in a favorite spot. Prizes are available for individual and classroom achievements. RaT information packets are coming home with students, are available in the school lobby, or online HERE. Read On!
Join us Tuesday at 6:30 PM for our March PTSA meeting. Hear reports from our teachers, Principals, Deans of Students, and Student Council. We will also hear from Moms Demand Action. Free childcare is provided on-site by Dale Turner YMCA.
Mr. Dalasta and Mr. Tadlock invite you to an informal, informative presentation regarding the results of the community survey in October. The presentations will be on Thursday, March 7th at 6:30PM in rooms 108 (for K) or the Library (for grades 1-6) and will last about 30 minutes. Interpreters will be provided if needed. Thursday is our Staff & Teacher Appreciation “Family Favorites” Luncheon. Do you have a family favorite dish you’d like to share with the teachers? Looking for something fun for the whole family? Come watch MP students in grades K-6 perform in Dandylyon Drama’s production of Disney’s Lion King, Jr. on Friday and Saturday, March 8th and 9th! Performances are at 7pm at Shorecrest High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available in advance at Brown Paper Tickets or at the door the night of the shows. Questions? Rescheduled guest speaker event: Austina De Bonte of the Northwest Gifted Child Association will present “What Parents and Educators Need to Know About Smart Kids,” on Wednesday, March 20th, from 6:30-8:30PM in the Shoreline Conference Center Auditorium. Please reserve your FREE seat in advance thru Eventbrite. Reserve a “first come, first serve” childcare spot by emailing shoreline.hicap.advocacy@gmail.com with your name, number of child(ren), their names and ages. Children must be potty-trained.
MPPTSA is hosting a Parents’ Night Out on March 22nd! All funds raised go to the Camp Orkila Fund to help ALL of our families make camp more affordable. Students will enjoy a movie, games, dinner, and fun with friends while you have a night out or some down time! Registration forms went home with students. Return the forms and payment ASAP before it fills up.
It’s never too late to show some love for our Meridian Park PTSA!
