Early Release Wednesday at 1:50 pm! Please check your plans. Younger children often forget, so please consider a reminder note or system. We understand the need sometimes for early pick-ups, but it’s helpful if we can limit early pick-ups after 1:30. Good job last week, Cheetahs, and thank you!
Tuesday, September 18 – PTSA Meeting
All are welcome at 6:30 PM in the library for the PTSA’s first meeting of the year! Childcare is provided by YMCA. Come learn about a new Grandparent Ambassador program and hear from Shoreline Council co-President Susie Moore.
Tuesday, September 18 & Wednesday, September 19 – Art Docent Orientation
If you signed up to be an Art Docent, please attend one of the following orientations: Sept. 18th, 9:15 am (Teacher’s Lounge) or Sept 19th, 7pm (Library). Our Volunteer-led Art Docent Team is recruiting for new & returning volunteers to support quarterly art projects in your child(ren)’s classroom during school hours. Email whitneyhardie@gmail.com if you are interested, but cannot attend a scheduled orientation.
Friday, September 28 – Walk-A-Thon, 2-3 pm, extended recess activity, please notice the DATE CHANGE
You’re invited to walk, jog, or volunteer on September 28 as we fund raise for classroom field trips and other special activities.
Picture day is quickly approaching!
Picture day will be Monday, September 24th (grades 2-3-4-5-6) and Tuesday September 25th (grades K-1-2). Retakes will be on Tuesday, November 6th. Order pictures using the form that comes home with your student(s), or order online at https://ios.mydorian.com. Meridian Park’s online access key is: TU8C8G6U. Online pre-orders are available up to 4 days after picture day. Extra paper forms are available in the office.
The MP Yearbook team is looking for photos of any 2018-2019 MP clubs, events, field trips, classroom pics, and before and after school pictures. If you take a picture and think it would be good in the yearbook, please email it to mpptsayearbook@gmail.com.

From the Office: Thanks for a smooth early release last week and let’s do it again this week! Thanks also for a fantastic curriculum night. We hope to see everyone at PTA on Tuesday at 6:30 pm. For your information, we will be holding an all school lockout and fire drill on Thursday at 3 pm and all students will be prepared in advance by their teachers. If your schedule allows, please join us for our annual Cheetah Walk-A-Thon in the afternoon on September 28.
