Thank you for submitting Box Tops! Keep them coming as our first deadline is the end of October. It is much appreciated if you can cut them before submitting, but if you cannot cut them, that is okay too!
MP Fall Carnival
Now that you have the right date in your calendar for the Fall Carnival, how about helping out? We have lots of jobs that need to be filled. Studies have shown that parents who volunteer for school events on average lose 10 pounds more than non-volunteering parents*. Sign up on-line here: http://www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10C094FA9AB2AABFE3-volunteer or simply e-mail Julie Reinhardt at email@example.com (*No studies have been made and the claim is absolutely unfounded, but hey, how about volunteer and be a test subject?).
Math Club begins on Wednesday, Oct. 18th, 8:00-9:00 am. If you are interested, there will be a Math Club Information Night on Wednesday, Oct. 11th from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Library. For questions, visit http://www.mpmathclub.com or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
PTSA Staff and Teacher Appreciation Lunch
The MP PTSA is sponsoring the first Staff and Teacher Appreciation Lunch on Wednesday, October 11th. If you are able to contribute food items, please visit http://www.perfectpotluck.com/meals.php?t=WTXM9265&welcome=1 to sign up.
Kindergarten Art Project Invitation for All MP Families
Would you like to send Grandma/Grandpa a coffee mug, magnet, bag or t-shirt with your child’s drawings on it as a holiday gift and support the PTSA at the same time? The PTSA has organized all Kindergarten classrooms to participate in a special art project through the fundraising company Display My Art. We would like to invite any student to turn in art work if they would like to have the same opportunity to make a special gift and support the MP PTSA. Please find the guidelines at https://mpptsa.org/fundraising/. This link might need to be pasted into your browser. Artwork is due back to school no later than October 12!
MP Multicultural Festival
Multicultural Festival, Thursday, November 16needs YOU! We are seeking folks to host cultural tables. Share your culture with our students with simple activities and items or pictures that tell your story. Interpreters are available!
Other ways to help: Set up and clean up – many hands make work light! Bring a dish to the multicultural pot luck. Help with the pot luck table setting up, and arranging dishes by country or region. Perform – do you perform (or know someone who does) in a cultural act (music, dance or other art)? We also need someone to run the sound system to keep the flow going. Have your child participate in the Traditional Dress Fashion Show. Or help with posters and flyers to get the word out. There are lots of ways to help for this wonderful MP all-school event.
