Kindergarten Art Project Invitation for All MP Families
Would you like to send Grandma/Grandpa a coffee mug, magnet, bag or t-shirt with your child’s drawings on it as a holiday gift and support the PTSA at the same time? The PTSA has organized all Kindergarten classrooms to participate in a special art project through the fundraising company Display My Art. We would like to invite any student to turn in art work if they would like to have the same opportunity to make a special gift and support the MP PTSA. Please find the guidelines at https://mpptsa.org/fundraising/. This link might need to be pasted into your browser. Artwork is due back to school no later than October 12!

Online Payment Option Available
To access the online payment system, click https://wa-shoreline.intouchreceipting.com/. Your TouchBase User Name is the same log-in you use for Family Access. Unless you have changed it, your Skyward Family Access username is the first 5 characters of your Last Name plus first 3 characters of your First Name plus unique 3 digit numeric all in UPPERCASE (Example: John Smith would be SMITHJOH000. If your Last Name is shorter than 5 characters add spaces between Last and First name MICHAEL CHO would be CHO MIC000 with two spaces between O and M). Passwords are case sensitive.
Please always purchase STUDENT ITEMS against your Student’s Name. This creates a record of items purchased under their name. You can review this at any time by logging in and selecting Report. Guest accounts WILL NOT allow you access to your student’s information.
For your security, the District has provided a portal where you can change your password. The reset instructions will be emailed to the email on record in Family Access. Please keep in mind that if you change it in the online payment system it will no longer be the same as Family Access.
There is a $1.50 convenience fee attached to online purchases except for Food Service payments and donations. You may charge items to multiple students but only have one $1.50 fee. Neither the District nor the online payment system keeps or stores your credit card information.

Online Registration Available to PTSA Membership
Make sure to join the Meridian Park PTSA! We are offering online registration this year, or send in your yellow envelope that was in your back to school packet.

Guest speaker event:
Austina De Bonte of the Northwest Gifted Child Association
Thursday, October 5, 2017
6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Shoreline Auditorium (18560-1st Ave. NE – Shoreline Conference Center)
The Shoreline Hi Cap Advocacy Group, in partnership with the Shoreline PTA Council, is excited to welcome back Austina De Bonte, president of the Northwest Gifted Child Association (NWGCA), to Shoreline for her presentation, “What Parents and Educators Need to Know About Smart Kids.” This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the social/emotional concerns that impact our advanced learners: what’s normal, what to expect as they grow, and why genuine challenge is vitally important to their learning, as well as the development of their academic talents — from the preschool and elementary years all the way to high school and beyond. This event is open to all Shoreline families!
We will have a brief business meeting at 6:30 p.m., followed by Ms. De Bonte’s presentation at 7 p.m.
A limited number of free childcare spots will be available on RSVP – “first come, first serve” basis – by the Dale Turner YMCA. Please email us at shoreline.hicap.advocacy@gmail.com with your name, the number of child(ren), and their names and ages, to reserve this service. Children must be potty-trained.
This is a free speaker event for parents and for anyone who supports our students. Don’t miss this!
