Calling all K-6 Cheetahs! The Yearbook Club would like your design ideas for the 2016-17 yearbook cover! This year’s yearbook theme is, “Keep Calm and Cheetah On.”

If you’d like a chance for your artwork/design to be featured on the cover, submit it (scanned or photo) to moogie1221@gmail.com by THURSDAY, MARCH 2nd. Please include: Student Name, Grade/Teacher, and Contact Info (Email and Phone Number).

NOTE: All submitted artwork must be original ideas and created entirely by the student.
After we receive all submissions, the Yearbook Club will review your artwork and make a decision based on: Interpretation of the theme, Technical skill, and Origi.

Tall Tales School Play
MP PTSA Drama Club’s performance of “Tall Tales” is March 3rd & 4th @ 7 pm, Shorewood High School Theater. Watch for pre-sale ticket information in Kid Mail. Tickets are $8/Adult and $5/student. This is a great family friendly show!

Community Dinner and Lecture
Edmonds Lutheran Church is hosting a dinner and lecture “Islam, Christianity, and Friendship” in partnership with the Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS).

MP Read-a-thon Coming Soon!
The 2017 Read-a-Thon (RAT) is coming up! It will begin on Monday, February 27th and end on Sunday, March 19th. RAT is a fun opportunity to read, read, read — for students and families alike! It is also an important fundraiser for PTSA, with funds raised supporting a variety of student activities and academic resources. Materials will come home with your student(s) next week explaining how to participate, collect pledges, and even earn prizes. Afternoon Mandarin Chinese Classes
Afternoon Mandarin language classes are now forming at MP! Instructor Hua Zhang will be offering classes (grades K-6) on Mondays and Wednesdaysfrom 3:35 pm – 4:35 pm. Classes will run from February 13 – June 14. Look for her flyer in your student’s boomerang folder and also in the upcoming February Cheetah Chatter for more info.
