POLLY-GLOT TOTS WINTER SESSION
BEGINS JANUARY 5th!
It is time to register for Spanish and French language classes at Meridian Park! The classes will continue until the end of the school year in two more sessions. The classes are all held in the Meridian Park Library from 8:15am – 9:00am. Spanish is held Monday and Tuesdaymorning and French Thursday morning. The cost is $120 for ten sessions plus $12 for the accompanying workbook (yearly). The Polly-Glot Tots registration can be done online at http://pollyglottots.com, but please note that online registration requires a $12 additional fee for processing. As an alternative, you can register by sending student name, student grade, parent email and class choice via email to the owner at frederique_battestini@yahoo.com and bring a check into class the first day.
CIRCUS ARTS CLUB VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Circus Arts Club starts January 6th and runs through March 26th on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:15-9:00 am. Mr. Alford would love some parent help teaching this big group of enthusiastic students. No experience necessary. 6TH GRADE CAMP FUNDRAISER
The sixth grade will be selling Brown Bear car wash tickets as a fundraiser for Camp Orkila. Don’t forget anyone who needs car wash tickets! New drivers? Coaches? Babysitters? Bosses? Teachers? Jessica will be happy to answer your questions regarding the food served at our Shoreline schools and she will bring taste test samples. Free childcare brought to you by the Dale Turner YMCA!
KINDERFEST 2015 – January 24th 10:00 am-noon at Shoreline Center (Shoreline Room)
Kinderfest is an opportunity for parents who will be enrolling their children in kindergarten to hear about the kindergarten program offered by the Shoreline School District.
Kindergarten registration for Shoreline residents with students starting kindergarten in the fall of 2015 will begin Monday, February 2nd at all elementary schools. You will need to register at your neighborhood/home school. In order to attend kindergarten in the fall, a child must be five years old by August 31, 2015. All elementary schools in the district will have kindergarten visitations on January 28, 2015 at 9:30am. Letting your home school know that you are attending the visitation is not necessary, but highly appreciated for planning purposes.
For students living outside of the Shoreline School District, kindergarten registration will also begin on Monday, February 2nd. Registration and transfer request paperwork must be submitted to the Instruction Department of the Shoreline School District, which is located at the Shoreline Center, 18560 – 1st Ave NE. The Instruction office is open between 7:30am and 4:30pm. Families will be notified by the middle of April as to the status of their request.
