BE AN ART DOCENT !
The PTSA sponsors an art docent program that supports a volunteer team of many dedicated parents who teach art in each classroom at Meridian Park Elementary. Art docents coordinate with teachers to present art lessons and lead each class in a hands-on-art project three times per year. Being an art docent has a very minimal time commitment of four meetings per year to plan and experiment with the art project and an hour and a half three times a year teaching the project in the classroom. If you are interested please contact the Art Docent Program Coordinator, Renee Smith, at renees1710.
SHORELINE CLASSIC CAR SHOW VOLUNTEER MEETING – May 19 at 6:00 pm in the Library
Have a fabulous day helping out at the Shoreline Classic Car Show while fundraising for our students. We have booked a great musical guest Danny Vernon! Danny’s show "Illusion of Elvis" has won rave reviews from crowds at Emerald Queen Casino and the Good-Guys Pacific National Car Show among others (http://www.dannyvernon.com/home.htm). Opening up for Danny is our own Ed Rogan and his band, Blackjack Kerouac! You can find more information about Blackjack Kerouac at https://www.facebook.com/blackjackkerouac.
Sound good?! Then, please join us as we make plans for Meridian Park PTSA’s largest fundraising event that will take place on Sunday, July 20, 2014. This is the only Seafair sanctioned event in Shoreline and it is held in our parking lot! We have lots of volunteer jobs that need to be filled, big and small. Support the students of Meridian Park by helping with this event. Last year we raised $8,000 for our school! Can’t make it to the meeting but want to volunteer? Please contact Dana Doerksen at gasbarri
