Monday is the first day of school for Kindergartners! After students enter classrooms, the Meridian Park PTSA and Derek Dalasta, Kindergarten Administrator, invite all parents, grandparents, and/or guardians to meet outside the main entrance of the school for a community gathering to celebrate your child(ren)’s first day of school. We will have tea to drink, tissues to wipe away any tears of joy, time to get to know each other, and a short message to join our community together and celebrate the start of the school year.

You are invited to attend the first MP PTSA meeting of the year on Tuesday at 6:30-8:00PM in the Meridian Park library. Hear updates from school administrators and learn about some of what your PTSA has planned for the year. Free childcare is provided on site!

This Wednesday is the first early release of the school year. As a reminder, the release time is 1:50 P.M. You can learn more about early release Wednesdays, the dates they are on and how the time will be used by staff to support higher levels of student success HERE!

From the Office:  Welcome Kindergarten Class of 2032 starting this week and congrats on family connection conferences!  Thanks to all Cheetahs, families, and staff for a very smooth first week for grades 1-6.  This month we learn, celebrate, and practice ‘respect’ – it’s the little things that count.  Please talk about respect at home. We appreciate patience in the parking lot and on time drop-offs (9 am) and pick-ups (3:30 pm). It will be extra crowded this week but we can do it Cheetahs with everyone working together as a team!  Please plan ahead for early release at 1:50 pm on Wednesday – thanks.  Thanks for your support and partnership.  Don’t forget PTSA on Tuesday!  We are one community, stronger together!  Go Cheetahs!
