Our school district is has added text messaging functionality to our School Messenger mass notification system as a supplement to phone calls or emails in appropriate situations–from reminders for school events to updates about emergency situations. Families do need to opt-in to give us permission to send text messages to their cell phones. Opt-in anytime by texting “Y” or “Yes” to 67587. Please note that only cell phone numbers connected to student/family accounts will be able to receive text messages from our schools or school district. If you are unsure if your cell phone number is included in your child’s registration contact information, please contact your school’s registrar. You can opt-out of receiving text messages anytime by texting “Stop” to 67587 or by visiting schoolmessenger.com/tm. Questions? The Special Needs PTSA is excited to host a free screening of the film Intelligent Lives at the Shorewood Theater on Tuesday, April 30th. Doors open at 6:30PM; screening begins at 7:00PM, after a short intro from the PTSA. This event is open to anyone in the Shoreline and neighboring areas. Click here for a preview of the film.

You are invited to join the MPPTSA on Saturday, May 4th, 10:00AM-NOON for Rapid Response Training (breakfast and childcare provided) in the MP Library. This community learning opportunity, facilitated by the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN), explains the immigrant enforcement process as an affected person, and learn how to support community members who are most vulnerable. MP families, did you forget to order your child’s personalized art items from “Display My Art” & our school wide Art Docent Printmaking project? Good news- the FREE shipping deadline has been extended until 5/3; others accepted after 5/3, but fees apply. You can purchase t-shirts, mugs, tote bags & more with your child’s art featured! Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10th! There are lots of ways to participate this week:
-Write a note thanking your favorite teachers and staff for their efforts to teach our kids. A simple fill-in-the- blank note is available HERE. There will be a mailbox in the lobby and all notes will be delivered by Friday, May 10th.

From The Office: Thanks again to Jax, Naomi, Elizabeth, and many others for an amazing celebration on April 18. Learning continues to be our focus as we head into May and June. We believe all Cheetahs can do anything; and we cannot wait to see you Monday at 9:05 am! Never forgot your greatness Cheetahs and that we are one community, stronger together.
