Our upcoming Art Docent school-wide project for classrooms will feature the art & style of Meridian Park parent Teddy Kalonga Haight!
Teddy uses geometric shapes and vivid colors to express emotion through figures & faces. She has been inspired by the Tingatinga art of her birth country, Tanzania, which depicts brightly colored animals.
Students will draw outline designs (human or animal) and fill in with acrylic paint, using colors to express chosen emotion(s).
