HI CAP ADVOCACY GROUP MEETING – TUESDAY, MAY 31 at MERIDIAN PARK
To our Hi Cap families: We would like to invite you to join us as we discuss the formation of a new Shoreline advocacy group to support the Hi Cap program. Our first informal gathering will take place on Tuesday, May 31, at the Meridian Park library from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Michael Power, Ph.D., Director of Assessment and Student Learning (whose office oversees the Hi Cap program), will present a brief update. Childcare services will be provided at no cost by the Dale Turner YMCA in the cafeteria. If you will be needing childcare, please respond to the e-mail address below with the ages and number of children (must be potty trained).
Come to this meeting and learn about the objectives of this new group (communication, community, teacher support, etc.) and how you can make a difference in the journey of your advanced learner(s). This will also be a great opportunity to meet other Hi Cap parents from both Meridian Park and Ridgecrest. END-OF-THE-YEAR LIBRARY BOOK ROUND UP
The end of the school year will be here before we know it. In order to complete an inventory of all library books, we will need them turned in before the last week of school. Below is a schedule to help students return their books.

~By Tuesday, May 31st, a student can have no more than two library books checked out.

~By Monday, June 6th, a student can have no more than one library book checked out.
~
By Tuesday, June 14th, students must have all library books returned to the library.

“BINGO NIGHT“! – June 17 6:00-7:30pm in the MP Cafeteria
Natural Leaders Presents: Family Bingo Night! Celebrate Meridian Park Families
and the end of the school year. All MP families are welcome! Dinner provided but please bring a dessert to share.

*Student Callers! Small Prizes for Bingos and Blackouts
