The Art Docent Program exists to help supplement art education along with what teachers are able to do in the classroom. There is no official art curriculum at MP, so this is a way to engage and inspire kids about the arts, as well as help give them tools for their own self-expression.
- The Art Docent Program is a PTSA-sponsored, parent-volunteer led art enrichment program for MP students.
- We aim to bring 3 interactive art lessons to each class at Meridian Park every year
- Our coordinators organize and train the volunteers in those lessons prior to the rollout of each.
As a parent volunteer, you can expect this to be a high reward with a relatively low investment. It’s a fun way to be involved in your kiddo’s class and for them to get to see you during the school day!
